Coronation Street actor Ryan Prescott has been spotted wearing his character Ryan Connor’s facial scars for the first time amid the show’s acid attack storyline.
The 34-year-old soap opera star cut a grim figure while filming scenes on Sunday arriving at court for the trial of her attacker Justin (Andrew Still).
Ryan was seen arriving at court with a significant facial scar on his left cheek and what appeared to be a skin graft on his neck.
The actor wore a navy blue hoodie and a dark blue T-shirt for the tense courtroom scene.
Andrew was wearing a black suit with a matching tie and a white shirt when he arrived in court for his character’s trial.

Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy, the intended victim of Justin’s attack, was also on location.
The actress donned a black top and matching pants as she arrived at court alongside Alison King, who plays Carla.
An episode that aired in late March saw Charlotte’s character Daisy Midgeley’s wedding day turned into chaos when her stalker Justin appeared before the Rovers after she arrested him for assaulting her.
Justin advanced on Daisy holding a glass filled with clear liquid, telling Daisy that no one will want her after this, but as he tossed the acid, RYan quickly stepped between them taking all the strength.

Speaking after the episode aired, many viewers felt that the scenes were “too dark” and hard to watch.
One viewer tweeted: ‘I can’t believe Coronation Street is airing something like this! Shocking!’
‘Just saw the acid attack on #Corrie. Very creepy. To be honest, I don’t know why the soaps have to get so dark,” added a second.

Now the aftermath of the horrific attack will be the focus of the next few scenes on the ITV show, with Ryan coming to terms with his lifelong injuries.
Those injuries have been shown in behind-the-scenes snapshots of the show, which show Ryan Prescott, who plays Ryan, in special effects makeup.
The actor can be seen wearing prosthetics to resemble a deep scar on the side of his face and neck.
Ryan also posed for a photo with one of the skilled makeup artists who helped achieve the realistic look.
Speaking on This Morning, Ryan said that Coronation Street would focus on Ryan’s recovery going forward.
He said: ‘That’s something we wanted to include was to have some longevity within the parameters of the soap, which obviously moves very fast. We wanted to have some kind of longevity afterwards.

Plot: Justin advanced towards Daisy holding a glass filled with clear liquid and told Daisy that no one would want her after this, but when he threw the acid, Ryan quickly stepped between them taking full force.
“Acid attack survivors go through hundreds of operations, multiple skin grafts and, quite often, a lifetime of PTSD.
“We want to show the different stages of his recovery.”
Speaking ahead of the airing of the episodes, Ryan admitted that viewers will see the aftermath of Ryan’s attack in upcoming episodes, after Daisy sprang into action to try and stop the acid from doing any long-term damage.
He told MailOnline and other media: “It takes a couple of seconds for sulfuric acid, which is in this case, to settle on facial tissue and start to erode away.”
“There was a moment when we were filming where Ryan realizes that this is not what he would have assumed.
“Although it went straight into the action in the final edit, we missed a bit of it.
‘Just an edge of reality that people probably don’t need to see, and there’s always a time constraint on these things. So editing was fantastic. They did everything they could.
‘To be honest, I think. I think he would probably think it was like vodka or something at the time, mainly because I think it’s so hard.

“This level of hate and violence and we don’t, I think we really don’t like to see these things, you know, from the fact that one person could do this to another person in society, we tend to shy away from that and we don’t He likes to look at them straight on because it’s scary.
‘And it should scare us because these things are scary, you know? But that’s why we wanted to do this story in the first place.
“As we learned through research, one of the random facts that I found was that there were 300 acid attacks in Manchester in 2022 alone, you know, not televised, not on any mainstream media or on any media platform for multiple reasons. obviously, but it just shows that it’s much more frequent than you’d expect.
