Alan has become a household name since he hit the cobblestones in 1998, playing hapless mechanic Tyrone, before marrying his childhood sweetheart Fiz.

The on-screen loves — who have had an on-off romance for two decades — finally tied the knot in episodes airing on Christmas Day, with fans raving about the sweet union.

Ahead of the much-anticipated nuptials, Alan and Jennie McAlpin – who plays Fiz – looked back at their characters’ best moments in a beautiful video put on by show bosses.

Speaking of the clip, Alan said, ‘It was quite interesting because we got to see several clips and honestly I couldn’t remember those.

“All these different moments in their lives… it’s been 20 years, I think, but there were times when we had real, big, passionate kisses and we looked at each other and I was like, ‘I don’t remember.’ .. I’m glad she doesn’t do that very well!”

And Jennie gushed, “It’s lovely to watch some of the early scenes, it’s been so long and you forget things you filmed together.”

She just thinks it’s normal. Now that she’s nine, she’s getting a little sassy about it. We walk through a store and she says, ‘Look daddy! It’s you there in a magazine!”
