Coronation Street viewers horrified as serial killer Stephen Reid KISSES Jenny Connor – leaving them fearing she could be his next victim
Coronation Street viewers admitted they “felt sick” after watching serial killer Stephen Reid kiss Jenny Connor during the closing minutes of the episode.
Stephen, played by Todd Boyce, has so far wreaked havoc on the Cobbles, killing three of the residents in a cold-blooded killing spree.
Fans continued to fear for Jenny after the episode, fearing she could potentially be his next victim if he tries to grow close to her.
Stephen and Jenny briefly kissed last year before he killed her toyboy lover Leo and it seems they are planning to give their romance another go.
Last year he saw Jenny’s (Sally Ann Matthews) fiancé Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) in a flashback episode, and this year both his father Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin) and a former client Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo).

The villain’s interest in Jenny comes after she decided to sell the Rovers Return pub, a lucrative move that no doubt piqued Stephen’s interest.
Jenny is in talks with the Newton & Ridley brewery, who want to take over the watering hole and ultimately save the jobs of the current workforce.
Stephen takes the opportunity to support Jenny and tells her it is now time for her to prioritize herself before they share a kiss and she leads him upstairs.
Fans were shocked by the twist, worrying that Jenny might get another heartbreak, or something much worse.
One said, “If Stephen goes to brainwash someone else and still hasn’t been caught… assuming he’s going to try and make Jenny his next victim!”
One person said, ‘Oh no Jenny! Her heart will be broken again. Leave Stephen alone!’
Another said, ‘Oh come on! Jenny isn’t that stupid.’

Elsewhere in the episode, Carla Connor came closer to unraveling Stephen’s murderous ways, when she learned that someone had been drugging her.
After learning about the effects LSD can have on the mind and body, Carla realized she was enriched, rather than having previously had a psychotic attack.
Earlier this year, fans watched Stephen drug Carla in hopes of stealing Underworld from her.
Carla confided in Roy, who later told Peter Barlow his concerns that she was paranoid, who called the doctor to evaluate Carla.
Roy later told Carla that he ordered a toxin test to check if Carla had traces of LSD in her system.
Stephen was eventually caught in Coronation Street on Monday night’s episode, but fans were furious to discover he still might not face justice.
His niece Sarah Barlow finally found evidence that Stephen stole money from Audrey’s stock line after talking to his ex-wife Gabrielle.
Gabrielle warned Sarah that Stephen is not loyal to his family, after a letter from the bank surfaced informing Audrey that money had been withdrawn from her stock line.
Sarah confronted Stephen at the factory and warned him she knew he stole money from Audrey.

Sarah demanded, “I’ll shut up, but you’ll pay her back, every penny you took. I’m not doing this to save your skin, I’m doing this for grandma. It would kill her if she knew.’
However, she warned her uncle, “You have now shown me your true colors and I will never believe what you say again.” Ever!’
The episode ended with Stephen deeply unsettled by Sarah’s warning, and fans were outraged that he hadn’t been fully exposed yet.

Another said, “And that’s how it starts to unravel for Stephen, thank God!”

It comes after Stephen was spotted leaving Weatherfield as actor Todd Boyce was filmed through the airport on Monday.
He wreaked havoc on the cobbles when he tried to gain control of the local Underworld underwear factory, drugging its boss Carla Connor (Alison King).
The criminal also attempted to drug and murder his fiancé Elaine Metcalfe (Paula Wilcox), seeing her end up in the hospital, having also accidentally drugged himself along the way.
This week, actor Todd was seen filming scenes as Stephen, with the character arriving at the airport before dashing to a ticket counter.
Stephen was only seen carrying a black leather briefcase, indicating that he wanted to run to it quickly and travel light.
The pressure on Stephen mounted last week when Lou Donahue (Eleanor Howell) made an unexpected appearance.
She expressed her devastation over the death of her husband Rufus, who killed Stephen.

Stephen looked tense as Lou insinuated that someone could have done something to Stephen, despite his drowning previously looking like an accident.
Viewers were convinced that Lou could be in danger as Stephen could try to silence her for good.
One wrote on Twitter, “Then how long until Lou is buried six feet under the Bistro?”
Another said, “Even Lou knows Rufus’s death doesn’t make sense, which means at this point Stephen needs to plan under which part of the Underworld to bury her.”
A third added: ‘Is Stephen going to kill all of Coronation Street until he gets caught?’

The ruthless criminal has also tried to kill Underworld boss Carla by constantly drugging her and tried to kill his fiancée Elaine.
In addition, he has terrorized some local teenagers who tried to buy drugs from him.
In a dramatic twist, Artificial Intelligence has even found out who could end Stephen.
According to the Daily Star, Bard AI states that the exact identity of Stephen’s next victim is ‘unknown’, but there are a number of possibilities.

Stephen recently took out a life insurance policy on Elaine, which means that if she dies, her entire estate will be left to him.
He takes £380 each month from Underworld’s accounts to pay for life insurance, and pays the money to a mysterious company called Seagull Ltd.
However, Carla told him that Owen Longford (Ben Hull) wants to inspect the company accounts, prompting Stephen to become very concerned.
The Bard AI software stated, “Stephen has already tried to kill Elaine once, and he may not give up until she is dead. Elaine is also a wealthy woman, and Stephen is motivated by her money.’
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
