Coronation Street legend Wendi Peters ‘SPLIT from husband of 20 years Kenny Linden – with the couple now living apart’
Wendi Peters has reportedly split from her husband Kenny Linden, after 20 years of marriage.
The Coronation Street star, 55, is best known for playing character Cilla Battersby-Brown on the soap from 2003 to 2008.
She’s still on screens portraying her current role in BBC drama Doctors, with reports she’s focusing on her work after the split.
According to news from The sunthe actress “grew apart” from her long-term partner, with whom she shares 22-year-old daughter Gracie.
“Wendi and Kenny were together for a long time and had a mostly happy marriage, but grew apart,” an insider said.

As they added to the publication, “Wendi is focusing on her new role in Doctors and looking ahead to the future.”
MailOnline has reached out to Wendi representatives for comment.
Wendi alluded to the split via social media earlier this month, sharing a selfie from Heathrow airport before heading to Cape Town – captioning that the trip was ‘necessary’.
She tied the knot with Kenny in 1993 and met while touring together in the musical Hello, Dolly! in 1988.
The former couple then welcomed daughter Gracie in 2000, with the couple undergoing seven rounds of IVF to conceive.
Since both parents have a close relationship with their only child, Wendi often gushes about her daughter through social media, which Gracie reportedly lives with her father.
In 2021, the family of three moved out of their home of 15 years, hoping to create roots in new premises before the split.
Kenny is also registered as blind, as he suffers from a rare hereditary condition called PXE (pseudoxanthoma elasticum) which only affects about 1,500 people in the UK.

Earlier, the former dancer and actor spoke of the condition, which prevented him from continuing his creative arts career, that it had made him and Wendi “stronger.”
“I still have my peripheral vision, but I can’t read for pleasure or drive and I’ve had to give up my career and retrain as a sports masseur,” he said.
