Coronation Street fans have shared their fears for Kirk’s dachshund Peanut after Hope vowed to get “revenge” on the dog following the death of her pet chinchilla.

Hope Stape, the daughter of Fiz and her late husband John, was devastated when her beloved chinchilla, named Cilla, died in Thursday night’s episode.

The tragedy occurred while Hope was babysitting Kirk Sutherland’s dachshund Peanut, and the 12-year-old was convinced the dog had killed the family’s newest addition, Cilla.

Peanut’s owners, Kirk (Andy Whyment) and Beth (Lisa George), shared their suspicions that this was not the case, as Cilla did not have a “mark” on her, but Hope was not convinced and her family claimed that the dog he had “scared”. Cilla to death.

As Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and her mother Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) celebrated Cilla’s funeral, Hope vowed to “get even”, leaving viewers fearing for Peanut’s life.

A third commented, “Pray for Peanut,” while a fourth tweeted, “That’s Hope killing that poor dog then.”

A sixth added: ‘Not the sausage’, while another jokingly referred to it as ‘ChinchillaGate’.

Another raged: ‘No, if you kill a dog, it will kill me. Don’t you dare Corrie.

Earlier in the episode, Kirk had asked Hope to look after Peanut while he and Beth went on holiday and offered to pay her five pounds, before the cheeky schoolgirl negotiated a fee of ten pounds with him.

After agreeing to babysit the dog, Hope introduced Peanut to her own pet, Cilla, describing him as her “new best friend”.

However, Peanut didn’t seem to like the chinchilla and growled as Hope brought Cilla in her arms to introduce them.

“Someone doesn’t seem very sure,” commented Fiz’s new husband, Tyrone (Alan Halsall).

Fiz then told Hope to keep Cilla in her cage while she babysat Peanut “just to be safe”.

Although the dog care seemed to get off to a good start, things quickly took a turn for the worse when Hope noticed Cilla’s cage was unlocked while she was playing with Tyrone’s daughter Ruby Dobbs (Macy Alabi), whom she shares with Kirsty Soames. .

Hope then desperately tried to find Cilla, before letting out a scream when she found her beloved pet hiding behind a chair.

After calling on Fiz and Tyrone for help, it became clear that Cilla had died suddenly, and Hope became convinced that Peanut was responsible for Cilla’s mysterious death.

When Beth came to pick up Peanut, Fiz and Tyrone told her what had happened, but she was furious that Cilla didn’t have a “mark” because she refused to believe that Peanut was responsible.

‘No sign of a bite, though Ty,’ Beth fumed.

But the family claimed that Peanut had “scared” Cilla to “death”, describing it as the only “rational” explanation.

“We’re not going to stay here and take all this abuse,” Beth said before storming out.

“I’m so sorry guys, it’s hard when your dog is accused of murder,” Kirk added.

In a dramatic twist, Hope vowed to avenge her beloved chinchilla as she knelt by her grave after a funeral they had held for the pet.

She said: ‘Your death will not be in vain for furry friend, you will get your revenge.’

And things will go from bad to worse for Peanut, as Hope will falsely accuse the dachshund of biting her in her ‘revenge’ plot, spoilers have been revealed.

In next week’s episode, Hope She’ll take drastic measures to avenge her dead chinchilla, enlisting the help of David Platt’s stuffed weasel.

The schoolgirl, who has been influenced by the tapes made by her father, the serial killer John, will swear revenge and even claims that Beth slapped her in an attempt to punish Peanut and her owners.

Hope does her best to put her plan into action when she kidnaps David’s pet Vin-Diesel and sinks her teeth into his arm, before trying to frame Peanut for the act.

Hope’s claims could have huge consequences as her parents, Tyrone and Fiz, offer to talk about the incident, but she reacts badly and storms off.

After her beloved pet was apparently killed by Kirk and Beth’s dog Peanut, Hope (Isabella Flanagan) tells her friend Sam (Jude Riordan) that she’s determined to get revenge.

At the factory, Beth (Lisa George) tells Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that she’s sorry about Cilla, but at the end of the day, she was just a fancy rat, which leaves Hope’s mother furious.

Following Hope’s instructions, Sam reluctantly tricks Maria (Samia Longchambon) into handing over Vin-Diesel, the barbershop weasel.

Asking Sam to leave, Hope carefully places Vin Diesel’s mouth around the skin of her arm, before moving closer to Peanut and letting out a scream.

Following his plan for revenge, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) catches Hope sneaking out of the yard with David’s weasel and immediately demands answers.

As Beth confronts Hope about Peanut, she runs home crying to her parents, before making a shocking accusation.

Hope then accuses Beth of slapping her, and Fiz and Tyrone immediately confront her. Beth denies doing anything of the sort to her.

Later, Fiz suggests to Beth that the four of them sit down and talk about the incident with Hope.

But when the schoolgirl returns home, she is furious and storms out.

In recent months, Hope has raised concerns about her affiliation with her serial killer John, secretly listening to recordings of his voice.

It’s already been hinted that she’ll develop an obsession with one of her neighbors, but could she take things too far?
