Coronation Street fans were left furious during Monday night’s episode when Stephen Reid killed Tim Metcalfe.
In the latest episode during Super Soap Week, Steven delivered his final blow in blockbuster scenes where he choked and hit Tim over the head with a metal pole.
Viewers took to Twitter in fury after witnessing Tim being ‘killed’ by the soap during Monday night’s scenes.

Determined to uncover the truth, Tim decides to investigate and quickly discovers one of Steven’s victims in a box in the canal.

Tim calmly drives Stephen in his car back to the Cobbles, trying to take a side track to the police station.
But Stephen quickly realized where Tim was going and angrily removed his tie and continued to strangle Tim until he luckily escaped from the car.
Despite escaping, Stephen quickly caught up to Tim and was hit in the head by the mental pool, before falling to the floor and throwing himself into the boot of the car.
As the hour-long episode continued, Steven doused the car in gasoline while Tim stayed to the side and went to set fire to the taxi to get rid of the evidence.
But he stops short when he hears a helicopter fly overhead and Steven runs after it back to Weatherfield.

Steven had already started planning his escape from the cobblestones and the trail of dead bodies.
However, he is unaware that the residents of Coronation Street are putting together the pieces of a rather shocking puzzle, one that could leave him spending his days behind bars rather than running on the beach.
Later, a seemingly calm and composed Stephen returns to the cobblestones smoothly bypassing Jenny and heads straight for the shower to wash away all traces of blood and fuel before calling the airline to confirm his flight for tomorrow.
Meanwhile the police lift the roof box from the murky waters of the canal, Craig and Swain shudder to see that it contains human remains.
DS Swain learns that Stephen has moved his flight from Manchester to Bangkok to today and rushes to the airport to meet him. Will they make it in time?
Elaine reports that the Platts believe that Stephen has killed everyone in his path. Realizing that Tim is one such person, Sally feels sick.
As the shocked residents realize they have a killer in their midst, the search is on to find Stephen before he can add to his victim count – are they too late?
The dramatic week will conclude its blockbuster, fittingly, on Friday, October 13, when Stephen’s fate will finally be revealed.
