Coronation Street is set for another major shake-up after ITV confirmed the latest changes on Tuesday.
The soap, which usually airs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, has recently suffered disruptions due to both football and rugby coverage.
And fans are certainly not happy.
Fans of the Manchester soap took to Twitter to express their outrage, claiming the changes were ‘absolutely ridiculous’ after the schedule was once again thrown into chaos.
This week, the episodes will air at the beginning of the week for three consecutive days, Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The changes mean fans will have to wait a little longer than usual for their dose of Weatherfield drama until the soap returns next Monday, October 9.
Coronation Street shared the news on Twitter as they wrote: ‘A light one schedule change this week everyone. Come join us from Monday to Wednesday at 8 p.m.!’
However, the post sent fans into an uproar as they expressed their anger on the social media platform.
One wrote: ‘This is absolutely ridiculous! I can’t handle this anymore’ alongside a series of red anger emojis.
Another wrote: ‘No! Fix it or lose me,” while a third joked: “Stop playing with my routine boys.”
The schedule change is once again due to the Rugby World Cup, with some fans keen to highlight the unfairness of the soap being forced to replace its spot with the sport.
One wrote: ‘For God’s sake! Not again! Why do you always put football first? There are so many sports channels, some of which are free to watch!’
Another commented: ‘All this crazy stuff with the schedule just to make stupid rugby happen! ITV should turn that pointless ITV2 channel into a sports channel and dump all their sport on it!’
A third added: ‘How long is this bloody rugby going to last! Can’t they stick it on another channel! I’m tired of soap operas being tampered with for sport!’
