Corner Office trailer follows Jon Hamm as he finds a secret room at his new job

Jon Hamm plays a seemingly mild-mannered office worker who discovers a secret that alters his reality in the new trailer for the dark comedy Corner Office.

Hamm, 52, who recently tied the knot with Anna Osceola, plans a bureaucrat named Orson, who starts a new office job.

Orson discovers what he believes is a secret corner office in the building, allowing him to be more productive than ever.

However, colleagues insist there is no such secret office as Orson’s grip on reality seems to be crumbling.

The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022 and will be released in theaters and digital/on-demand formats on August 4.

The trailer opens with an exterior shot of the office and the snow-covered parking lot, as Orson gets out of his car and sets his alarm clock on his way to work.

Orson is sitting at his desk when Andrew (Christopher Heyerdahl) puts a hand on his shoulder and offers some advice.

“Orson, we’re trying to think about the floor,” Andrew says, nodding down as we watch the snow melt off his shoes onto the office carpet.

Andrew nods again at a couple of paper towel dispensers on the wall, with a sign above them that says “Think about the floor.”

‘Naturally. Of course,” Orson says to a smiling Andrew before leaving his desk, as Orson glances at his colleague Rakesh (Danny Pudi).

Orson is seen with a box from the office and adds, ‘I was used to being one of the leaders, in my last job. I was determined to build the same position at work.’

Rakesh shows Orson how the cafeteria coffee machine works, then shows him how the blinds work.

Orson continues in voice-over: ‘Every time someone looked at me, I would smile broadly. A smile disarms your opponent and makes him doubt his own enmity.’

He continues to explore the office, adding in voiceover, “I kept to my schedule when I first discovered… the room.”

Orson opens a strange door he seemingly hasn’t seen before, and opens it, finding a rather spacious and luxurious office.

“There was something special about this place,” he says in voiceover, asking Mitchell (Bill Marchant), “Answer me truthfully. What is this room for?’

A confused Mitchell tells Orson, “Don’t drag me in here,” while Orson tells a female colleague, “I found a secret room and if I work there I can do anything.”

The colleague is confused when Orson tries to explain, “It’s just that most people can’t see it.”

Carol (Allison Riley) watches Orson, while the other female colleague asks if he is on drugs.

It’s revealed that while Orson thinks he’s in a spacious new office, he’s actually just standing in a hallway, with Rakesh asking him, “What are you doing standing like this?”

‘What are you talking about?’ Orson replies, while colleagues are seen whispering, saying that what Orson is doing is “very strange.”

A group of colleagues has gathered in Andrew’s office, while a woman insists, “If he can stand like this, I can practice Reiki in the break room.”

Andrew makes it clear, “There’s no room, Orson,” as Orson tells his colleagues, “Didn’t I tell you it was futile to try to wage a psychological war against me?”

He keeps saying to his colleagues, “You’ve got secrets hidden there that, for whatever reason, you don’t want me to see.”

Carol tells Andrew and the others, “He’s crazy. Everyone can see that,” while Andrew is flanked by security guards, who say, “I tried to warn you.”

Orson is seen running away from security, as Orson sternly orders, “I must insist you don’t go there again!”

He’s been seen dancing with a woman in a red dress (Sarah Gadon), who says to him, “You’re different from the other people here.”

Orson asks Andrew and others how long they planned this and if he was one of the originally intended victims.

He’s been seen dancing with the woman in the red dress in an auditorium as snow fell, and when Orson is asked what he wants, he says, “I just want to do my job.”

He’s been seen running from security, as Orson says in voiceover, “I can see the world as something ominous, menacing, or I can choose to see the light.” I chose to see the light,” as the trailer ends.
