The unsolved murder of a young model has come under renewed scrutiny after a close friend made new claims that she was having affairs.
On the afternoon of July 4, 1997, Corinna Marr, a 25-year-old Adelaide woman, was shot dead execution-style – with bullets in her head and chest – in her suburban unit. Her killer was never brought to justice.
There were no signs of forced entry, and the manner in which Mrs Marr was killed suggested she was at ease with whoever was in her house that day.
Colin Todd, a close friend and boss of the property executive and part-time model, has now claimed she told him she was having affairs before her death.
“I gave her advice as a friend, as a good friend, regarding certain activities she was involved in and dealings with other people,” Todd told Channel 9. In research program on Tuesday evening.
“And I actually pointed out, ‘You’re doing situations too close to home with people that you shouldn’t be doing.’
Mr Todd was on his way to pick up Mrs Marr that evening to take her to work when he called ahead to say he was late.
Mrs. Marr’s husband, Robert, told him she was dead.

Channel Nine’s Liz Hayes told Mr Todd he was under suspicion at the time.
“I arrived on the scene and I knew that anyone who is at a murder scene early in the play becomes a suspect,” he replied.
“You know, you gotta put yourself in that boat.”
He said police questioned him later that afternoon and accused him of killing Ms Marr.
Hayes asked him point-blank if he killed Corrina.
“No, I didn’t,” Mr. Todd replied.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest Mr Todd or Mr Marr were in any way involved in Ms Marr’s death.
Nearly 30 years after his daughter was murdered, Ms Marr’s now elderly father, Trevor King, is still searching for answers.
‘Who did it? Why did they do it? You don’t have to leave out a beautiful girl,” he said.
‘There’s no reason why this should happen. She wasn’t involved in any criminal activity or anything like that.
‘We really just want closure. Hopefully something will come of it. Hopefully before I die,” said a heartbroken Mr. King.
From 2004 to 2012, barrister Paul Heywood-Smith KC, who represented a never-charged alleged suspect in the case, was denied access to secret documents in the police file on the case.
“And as a result we don’t know much,” Mr Heywood-Smith said.

Police argued that revealing the information was ‘not in the public interest’ – which Under Investigation said could mean they did not want to reveal their methods or interfere with the ongoing investigation.
‘We are now 27 years after the murder. Police methodology would have changed so much… that any methodologies from back then would no longer be interesting,” Mr Heywood-Smith said.
Former Adelaide news director Graham Archer said that “in an open investigation, police have the right to say, ‘We don’t want to release this information.’
“But in saying that, I thought it was in the interest of the police to show that they were following other leads,” he said.
“I happen to know, when I spoke to the senior police, that they are actually concerned about this matter, but when I asked if the (suppression) would be lifted, they said it will never happen.”
