  • Frustrated officer finally broke the car window and arrested her

This is the wild moment a police officer smashed the window of a ‘sovereign citizen’ car after she refused to leave the vehicle.

The incident took place in Coffs Harbour, NSW and started when an officer asked the woman to roll down her window.

She refused to wind him up all the way and also refused to give her name or driver’s license before telling the officer she “had no jurisdiction.”

She told the so-called sovereign citizen that she was being stopped because she was driving without registration.

This caused the driver and passenger, who filmed the exchange, to say that they were ‘travel’, not drive.

The encounter became increasingly heated when the two sovereign citizens refused to give their details to the officer.

Eventually, the exasperated officer called for backup while telling the woman that he would roll out the car window if she didn’t comply.

He also repeatedly stressed that they would be arrested if they did not provide details.

The passenger then tells the officer: ‘You have no authority here. From whom does it derive its authority? There is no sovereign in this country.

‘Don’t you dare think that you have authority here.’

In frustration, the office grabbed the window and yanked it down in an impressive show of force, before reaching over and opening the door.

The passenger is then heard to reply: ‘You’re screwed. Man I would love to have you one on one.

He continues to curse the police officer as he and his colleagues remove the Sovereign citizens from the car and arrest them.

NSW Police have been contacted for further information.

In all Australian states and territories it is an offense to drive a motor vehicle on a road without a valid licence. You must carry your license when you drive and show it to a police officer when asked.

Sovereign Citizens are a loosely affiliated but growing movement of people who connected with each other primarily on social media during the pandemic.

They often believe that they, not judges, juries, law enforcement, or elected officials, must decide which laws to obey and which to ignore.

Most sovereign citizens also do not believe they should pay taxes.

As part of the strange ideology, they believe that maritime law should be used to govern, even on land.

They also believe that capital letters are used on birth certificates to make people a corporate entity, not a sovereign person.
