Cop who detained Tyreek Hill did NOT know who he was before Dolphins star was dragged from his car and pinned to the ground
One of the police officers involved in the shocking arrest of Tyreek Hill was unaware he had handcuffed a well-known NFL star.
The Miami Dolphins receiver was dragged from his car, pinned to the ground and excited for Sunday’s match against the Jaguars.
On Monday, bodycam footage from Miami-Dade officers emerged. A clip shared by CBS showed that Hill’s profile was not known to everyone on the scene.
“Why is he acting like that?” an officer asked as Hill shouted in the background. “Do you know who that is?
His colleague, who was believed to be the first officer to approach Hill’s car after it was pulled over, replied, “No?”
They were then told it was “one of the Dolphins’ star players,” to which they replied, “Oh yeah?”
Minutes earlier, the wide receiver was handcuffed near Hard Rock Stadium while driving to the Dolphins’ season opener against Jacksonville. “Take me to jail … do what you have to do,” Hill told officers.
Officers were heard telling the NFL star to “stop crying” after they dragged him from his car and laid him face down in the road.
“When we tell you to do something, you do it. You understand? Not what you want, but what we tell you. You’re a little f****** confused,” one officer told him.
A Florida police union alleged that Hill was driving dangerously when he was pulled over in Miami on Sunday and that he was handcuffed after refusing to cooperate. Hill said He has ‘no idea’ what prompted his arrest.
