Convicted cop killer Bruce Lorick will avoid jail after he was caught stealing Thanksgiving food from Target in Manhattan last weekend.
Lorick, 66, who is on life parole for the 1980 murder of NYPD Officer Joseph Keegan, allegedly tried to steal $286 worth of items from an Upper East Side Target, reported the New York Post.
According to law enforcement sources, the loot included shrimp, chicken, Jimmy Dean frozen meals, candy, Colgate toothpaste and Tide laundry detergent.
The incident marks the third time Lorick has been arrested since he was released on parole in 2021 after spending more than 30 years in prison.

When Keegan went to arrest Lorick, a struggle ensued and the suspect grabbed the officer’s service weapon and shot him in the head.
Keegan was just 44 days away from early retirement. He planned to leave the force after fifteen years so he could start a family.
A year later, Lorick was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
He was eligible for parole in 2005, but each time he entered a plea for freedom, his request was denied.
Despite the efforts of Lorick’s devoted family and friends, Lorick was ultimately granted parole in 2021.
Lorick served his sentence at the Clinton Correctional facility in upstate New York
