A construction worker has suffered serious head injuries after falling off a construction site in a horrific workplace accident on the Gold Coast.
The man cut his head open when he fell from an object at a construction site in Coolangatta about 11am on Thursday.
It is understood the worker fell off an edge and became stuck in a narrow space.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene for a ‘significant head injury’.
He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
WorkSafe Queensland is expected to launch an investigation.
