A person dressed as Cookie Monster was spotted driving at 60mph as police issued a warning to fellow Muppet motorists.
The cookie-loving blue Muppet was away from his usual home on the hit children’s show Sesame Street and was instead spotted zooming along a German highway.
The bizarre photo, taken by a mobile roadside dispatcher in Dortmund, West Germany, shows a driver speeding at 100 km/h in a 50 zone while dressed as Cookie Monster.
If the muppet is ever caught, he faces a €40 fine.

German police believe the offense was so brazen that the Audi driver was deliberately caught wearing the costume on September 20 as a prank.
But the police found the stunt to be in poor taste.
Police spokesman Peter Bandermann said: ‘The fun of wearing a Muppet Show mask can quickly turn serious.
“It will not help the relatives of a murdered person if the person who did it tearfully regrets wearing a mask in court.”
