A man has been charged with domestic violence after allegedly releasing two pet snakes onto a footpath in Sydney’s east.
Police allege the 25-year-old damaged two snake enclosures in a unit on Mount Street in Coogee at around 11pm last Saturday and placed the animals in an unsecured box outside the house.
The snakes, which belong to a 25-year-old woman who knows the man, have not yet been found.

“I really fear for their safety so if anyone has seen them please let me know… they are very sweet and don’t bite.”
“The brown one is called Bagel and the albino is called Mango.”
Both animals, aged five and six, have been with Mrs Dodson since birth and can be sensitive to the dangers of the wild.
