Coogee Beach, Perth: Manhunt underway after teenage girl was ‘dragged into the male toilets and sexually assaulted’ at crowded beach

Detectives are investigating after a shocking sex attack on a popular Perth beach on Friday.

The incident took place at Coogee Beach in the city’s southern suburbs, with detectives saying the girl was forced into the men’s toilet block and attacked.

On Saturday, Western Australian police released a photo of a man wanted for questioning over the attack.

“It is believed that the man in the images may be able to assist the investigation,” a police spokesperson said.

The incident is being investigated by detectives from the Sex Assault Squad and is believed to have occurred sometime between 2pm and 3pm on January 12 near the Coogee Beach reserve.

The perpetrator is described as olive or dark skinned, approximately 30 to 35 years old, with tattoos on his neck and shoulders.

It is believed the man was present on the beach and jetty along with another man and a young boy.
