A convicted murderer has been jailed for 18 months at Cardiff Crown Court after threatening neighbors for laughing when he fell from a lounger.
Karl Drummond, 47, from Abertridwr, near Caerphilly, South Wales, flew into a range attack after falling from his sun lounger while sunbathing in June, much to the amusement of his neighbours.
Drummond didn’t see the funny side of the incident and pulled out a knife and carving knife after hearing the laughter.

Prosecutor Nik Strobl said: “He started raging and started swinging a knife around.
“A few of his neighbors went to talk to him to calm him down, while others called the police.”
A court heard that Drummond, when he swung around the meat chopper, “declared that he was going insane.”
Mr Strobl said: ‘He said he would like to burn down the whole estate and ‘we would all die together”.
Drummond was arrested by police and he appeared at Cardiff Crown Court to admit arguing.
John Pennington, defending Drummond, said: ‘He’s usually friendly. Alcohol has been a problem.
“He fell off his deck chair, people laughed, but he didn’t see the funny side.”
Judge Michael Fitton KC detained Drummond for 18 months and told Drummond: ‘This was an ugly incident.
“You were drunk and making threats with knives in both hands, which would have been terrifying to anyone who heard.”
“Your record of previous convictions, which undoubtedly made you infamous, would have magnified its impact.”
Karl Drummond jailed for 10 years for manslaughter after attacking drug runner
Drummond had previously been sentenced to 10 years in prison for manslaughter at a drug dealer.
Victim Tony Singh, 24, father of a young child, was found dead in November 2010.
Drummond, a heroin user at the time, and his associate Shahid Rafiq, also of Caerphilly, had tried to buy their solution from Singh, who was a runner for a drug dealer.
The pair were sold meat stuffing Paxo, in lieu of the heroin they were trying to buy.
Discovering this, they set out to attack Singh, who was hit several times with a metal bar.
The case took two trials to reach a verdict, with the couple spent nearly 600 days in jail before the conviction was handed down – a factor that meant this time was counted towards Drummond’s sentence.
In total, he served five of his 10 years in prison before serving the rest of the sentence with a license.
