Controversial former NFL star Antonio Brown makes election plea as Donald Trump returns to site of assassination attempt

Antonio Brown has encouraged voter registration in Pennsylvania after endorsing Donald Trump for president earlier this year as the former commander-in-chief returned to the site of his assassination attempt.

Trump and a host of other Republicans are speaking at a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania, less than three months after the former president was shot in the ear during another rally at the site.

Brown has long been a fan of Trump, despite claiming he has never met him.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler also said he would make a public appearance to support his beliefs.

“You’ll see Steeler Nation at the game on Sunday. Before then, make sure you register to vote in this year’s election. @x makes it easy to find the information and every vote counts @elonmusk,” Brown said on social media.

Brown also gives a shoutout to X and its owner, Elon Musk. The billionaire has also supported Trump for president and hasn’t been shy about showing that on his platform.

Brown posts a lot with the hashtag #CTESPN, a combination of the concussions associated with getting hit to the head and the popular sports network.

The former Buccaneer and Steeler also took shots at Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and Travis Kelce on X in the past day.

Brown also posted a screenshot of a direct message sent to him by Trump’s vice presidential pick JD Vance.

Vance also posted one of Brown’s posts on X from earlier Saturday, in which he criticized Donald Trump Jr. announced as his ‘Cracker of the Day’.

Vance reposted a photo of himself with the original message, seemingly entering his name for future consideration.

Brown hasn’t played in the NFL since a 2021 incident in which he took off his shoulder pads and jersey and jogged shirtless to the locker room in the middle of a game.
