A construction worker was killed Friday after a two-story house collapsed in Brooklyn.

The first floor of the building, which was covered in scaffolding, suddenly collapsed and the 33-year-old man was found unresponsive under the rubble.

According to the New York City Police Department, emergency crews responded to reports of a collapsed home in Borough Park just after noon.

But the construction worker was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been revealed as authorities try to inform him.

No other injuries were reported in the incident. It is not clear what caused the building to collapse.

A stop work order was issued late last year, but according to Department of Buildings records, this appeared to have been resolved.
