‘Easiest money I’ve ever made’: Conor McGregor enjoys winning a bet on Aljamain Sterling’s UFC 288 win against Henry Cejudo, insisting Triple C didn’t put a ‘scratch’ on the bantamweight champ
Conor McGregor congratulated Aljamain Sterling after retaining his bantamweight title by defeating Henry Cejudo at UFC 288.
Sterling defeated the returning Triple C via split decision after an entertaining five-round bout in Newark, New Jersey in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
The 33-year-old New Yorker defended his championship belt for the third time after dealing enough damage to convince the judges without Cejudo ever actually hurting him.
And ‘The Notorious’ Irish fighter McGregor quickly took to social media to hail the ‘Funkmaster’ and criticize his opponent’s performance, hinting that he was in the money after successfully betting on the outcome.
McGregor said on Twitter: ‘Easiest money I’ve ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo! Congratulations Funkmaster!

And McGregor quickly took to Twitter to congratulate Sterling but criticize Cejudo (right)
“Good little fighter is Henry, but leave it alone with these agendas all the time. The man is less than 20 fights in his career.
His little feints and all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol.
“Did the splits like a stripper and got dumped on his a** he did hahaha oh lord it’s yummy, @ProperWhiskey.”
After the fight, Sean O’Malley called Sterling into a foul-mouthed tirade to pull off a ravishing bantamweight fight.
Not long after Sterling raised his arm in the octagon, O’Malley stormed in to confront him in sensational scenes.
Social media footage showed ‘Suga’, 28, wearing a gaudy red and black jacket, climbing the stairs and making his way towards his potential next opponent.
Sterling said, “Get your a** in the big boy players, baby,” as the pair squared off, talking over each other and yelling in each other’s faces before White stepped in to separate the duo.
After O’Malley insisted “You looked like s***,” Sterling questioned why he “ran” by rejecting the title shot, continuing, “I thought so.” Because I would drag your dick up and down this octagon. Get the bastard out of my cage.’
