A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “Mr Nye was asked by officers to stop after acting suspiciously and instead of complying, he rammed the police car before fleeing the scene.

‘He rammed a police vehicle causing an officer to fracture his wrist.

‘After ditching the car and getting into another vehicle, Nye was eventually pulled over by officers and arrested.

“During an extensive search of the vehicle Nye had abandoned, several small bags of cocaine were found.

“While under investigation for these crimes, Nye was re-arrested by officers on April 16 of that year for violating coronavirus restrictions and was found to be in possession of an imitation firearm, leading to his arrest. for this new crime.
