Conor McGregor launches shocking attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov and slams Donald Trump after former president’s confession on Adin Ross’ stream

Conor McGregor became irritated when former US President Donald Trump named his Russian rival Khabib Nurmagomedov as his favourite fighter.

Appearing on a stream with Adin Ross, Trump expressed his admiration for the undefeated Hall of Famer from Dagestan, claiming that The Eagle “never lost a round” in a career highlighted by a dominant victory over McGregor on the UFC’s biggest pay-per-view in 2018.

The Irishman called Trump’s comments on social media an “end of campaign” statement and held no back in shaming his old foe.

“Decision to end campaign,” McGregor wrote. “A stinking, fat mountain ape from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (American Company) fighter?

“Wow. Horrible,” he continued.

Nurmagomedov had a perfect MMA record of 29-0 with eight knockouts and 11 submissions.

After defeating McGregor in their grudge match at UFC 299, the Dagestani defeated Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje in his last fight. Nurmagomedov laid down his gloves after promising his mother he wouldn’t continue after the death of his father Abdulmanap at the height of the pandemic.

“I think Khabib,” Trump said when asked about his favorite fighter. “How good is he? Khabib was 29-0. His father died and he retired. And I don’t think he ever lost a round.”

Trump also spoke about his meeting with the former UFC lightweight champion in New Jersey and how Nurmagomedov asked Trump to stop the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

The heated rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor reached a climax in their fight at UFC 229

“I met him two fights ago,” Trump said. “I met Khabib there and he was very… you know, he was… [said]: ‘You’re the man who can stop [the war],’ he’s talking about Ukraine and Russia. He knows it’s his people, on both sides. And so many people [are] dying in that war.

“He was really great. We were talking about a different kind of fighting – a much worse kind of fighting. He was very concerned. He said, ‘You can make it stop,’ and I can make it stop.”

McGregor’s rivalry with Nurmagomedov played out in the corners of the Octagon. In addition to McGregor’s verbal attacks on Nurmagomedov’s country and religion, he infamously threw a dolly at a bus carrying his rival and other fighters.

As a result, several athletes were injured when glass shattered into the vehicle.

In addition, Nurmagomedov jumped out of the Octagon to attack McGregor’s team, which led to a brawl. In the fourth round, he managed to defeat The Notorious via a fulcrum choke.

McGregor previously praised Trump after his failed assassination attempt in July, writing: “As a 78-year-old billionaire, he should be on a yacht in the Mediterranean exploring golf courses.”

“But he’s not.” “He’s in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! He’s running for the love of his country! God bless the United States!”
