Number 13 UFC lightweight Renato Moicano’s bizarre post-fight comments on Saturday caught the attention of former champion Conor McGregor.

After defeating No. 15 Drew Dober via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 85, Moicano left no room for questions about the fight as he took time to express his thoughts in turn. The first topic Moicano brought up was his father having a baby at the age of 62.

“My dad is 62 years old and he had a baby yesterday,” Moicano said. ‘I tell him: tomorrow when I get home, I’m going to get my wife pregnant again. Because if my damn father, 62 years old, can populate the world, so can I. Money Moicano III is coming.”

McGregor expressed his surprise and congratulated the Moicano family on X, formerly Twitter.

‘Wow! He has a new little brother,” McGregor wrote. ‘That is amazing! Fair play Moicano Snr hahaha.”

“I’m one of the biggest Drew Dober fans,” Moicano admitted. “When I was 145, I saw that guy knocking out all the people and I said, ‘I’m glad I’m not at 155 (lbs),’ and today I just beat the motherfucker. Huge, crazy respect for Drew Dober.”

The win improved Moicano’s record to 18-5-1 as he has won four of his last five fights.

Meanwhile, McGregor fans are still waiting for his return to the Octagon. The Notorious has not fought since his second loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021 and has been heavily linked to No. 5 lightweight Michael Chandler for his comeback performance.

On New Year’s Eve, McGregor said he will face Chandler at 185 pounds during International Fight Week. However, the UFC has yet to make an official announcement regarding his next fight.
