The ‘wheels are in motion’ for Michael Chandler’s return to action, which in all likelihood will be against Conor McGregor in their highly anticipated rescheduled fight.
The pair were due to clash at UFC 303 back in June but McGregor pulled out due to a broken little toe.
Fans desperate to see the biggest star in MMA history back in action were bitterly disappointed but all signs point to an announcement soon.
His long-scheduled opponent Chandler has waited patiently for what will be a career-best payday and took to Instagram with an update.
He wrote: ‘Wheels in motion to bite down on that mouthpiece again… bet on yourself, always. Walk On. See you at the top!’

McGregor told White that he wants to fight in December and is set to start altitude training
McGregor’s photographer Dave Fogarty recently said his close friend was targeting the end of the year for his rearranged bout.
He told Bloody Elbow: ‘I know Conor is pushing for December or something towards the end of the year. That’s what I think will happen, he’ll fight when he’s ready.’
UFC 310 takes place in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena and will be the organization’s final big pay-per-view card of the year.
UFC president Dana White has not yet revealed specific plans but did recently confirm that discussions about he Irishman had taken place and teased news coming up soon.
It would make sense for the UFC to round off the year with the return of McGregor in what could launch them into 2025 with plenty of momentum.

‘Notorious’ has been out of the cage for more than three years since breaking his leg in July 2021 against Dustin Poirer.
If he can show he still has the skill and will of the early iterations of McGregor, opportunities abound but Chandler is a game opponent and will be desperate to spoil the party.
