Connie Britton pulls off casual chic as the beaming star heads out to Rome with a friend… after giving fans a rare peek inside her relationship with boyfriend David E. Windsor
Connie Britton was seen enjoying a day in Rome with a friend.
The Friday Night Lights alum, 56, was dressed casually in a long black skirt and a soft gray sweater.
Connie, who wore a neon pink dress to last year’s Emmy Awards, wore a black crossbody bag and round sunglasses as she walked the cobbled streets of the Italian capital.
The Dear Edward star’s long red hair was loose and parted on the side before being changed into a sleek updo.
Later in the day, she swapped out her black skirt for loose black pants.

Earlier this year, the Nashville alumna got a rare glimpse into her private life and relationship with This is Us producer David E. Windsor during an appearance on SiriusXM Radio Andy.
The couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2019, a moment she said she would “never forget.”
“I walked into his party and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know anyone,'” he told host Andy Cohen. “I’m talking to my friend and he looks past me and sees David across the room. And he says, ‘There’s someone here you need to meet.
However, that night they never really connected as they were sitting at different tables and The White Lotus star had to get home to her son Eyob, whom she adopted from Ethiopia in 2011.
Her friend encouraged her to stay and talk to David, but the devoted mom refused, saying, “You know what, just tell her to email me.”
She explained: “David knew everyone at the party and I didn’t know anyone so I wasn’t going to walk around like a box of idiots.”
But David emailed Connie the next day, and she said she thought it was “bold.”
They got together shortly before the pandemic started, went through it together, and have been a couple ever since.

David, who shares sons Archie and Tilly with his ex-wife, also took on the role of stepfather to Connie’s son with ease.
Connie, who was previously married to John Britton from 1991 to 1995, adopted Eyob as a single mother when she was nine months old.
At the time, he had recently lost his parents and, as he told Andy Cohen on an episode of See what happens liveshe knew the time was right.
“I wasn’t in a relationship that felt like it was going to be a marriage relationship, so I thought, ‘What am I waiting for?’
Romance: Earlier this year, the Nashville alum gave rare insight into her relationship with writer David E. Windsor during an interview with Andy Cohen.
And she admits that being a single mother is not easy.
“I would say that being a mother taught me mostly grit, frankly. And to trust myself and my instincts,” she said for People.
When she adopted her son, she was moving to Nashville to start filming the show of the same name and had no support system around her.
‘Also, I am a fierce mother of a black son. Period. End of conversation. After all, don’t fuck with my son. I’ll be a mama bear to the end,’ she delighted.
