Connecticut police officer captures UFO the size of a ‘Mini Cooper’ hovering 30 feet above his patrol car

A Connecticut police officer has gone public with a creepy story after a glowing UFO the size of a “Mini Cooper” hovered over his patrol car.

Robert Klein, who was working the night shift in April 2022, described how the object’s intense, color-changing light streamed into his vehicle as he approached a local reservoir in Fairfield County at 11:45 PM ET.

“It lit up the entire cabin of my cruiser to the point where I had trouble driving because I really couldn’t see,” Klein said. “It blindsided me.”

The veteran police officer described the large spherical light as having a ‘plasma-like’ quality. “I’ve seen quite a few drones and meteors,” Klein said. “This was something I’ve never encountered before.”

Hoping to get a better look, Klein said he pointed his own spotlight at the strange object as it beamed light back at him from 30 feet above.

The UFO then made a jerking, ‘instantaneous’ movement towards the bank opposite the reservoir, where it hovered.

“Then I kind of stepped out and grabbed my camera and started recording and taking pictures,” Klein recalls.

The police officer released his UFO video over Thanksgiving weekend.

Klein, who told his story to NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield of “Banfield” last Wednesday, said he was amazed by both the apparent speed and acoustic signature of this plasma-like object in the sky.

“I couldn’t see it going from A to B, it was moving so fast,” he said. “There was a low hum coming out of it, which was very distinct.”

The veteran police officer was at pains to emphasize that in the first moments of his encounter he was able to “get a very close-up view of it” from 30 feet below the floating, sphere-like object: “It wasn’t a drone, I can guarantee you that.”

“I froze,” Klein said NewsNation as he remembered that moment when he looked at the object. ‘I wasn’t afraid. I was just really trying to understand what exactly I was looking at.”

“I was just trying to process what I was looking at,” he said. “To this day I’m perplexed.”

Klein recalls that his mid-range car-sized UFO cycled through a total of four colors: red, green, white and orange.

To add credence to his story, this late-night encounter is consistent with the behavior of UFOs that saw “flashing red, green and white lights” over U.S. Air Force Joint Base Langley-Eustis late last year and in more recent cases in Virginia for 17 nights. throughout Great Britain.

Gen. Glen VanHerck, the commander of the North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command, has called for permission to use special surveillance equipment on U.S. soil to get to the bottom of the raids.

Agent Klein contacted UFO researcher and TV host Ben Hanson through one of his websites and offered his testimony and video of the encounter.

Hanson described the episode as a classic case that directly resembles a scene Steven Spielberg ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ in which a vehicle drives by The character of Richard Dreyfuss is also bathed in blinding light.

“By the way, everyone who watched the movie [US Senate] hearings lately with AARO,” Hanson told NewsNation, “they had mentioned [covered] a similar event on the West Coast with another police officer describing an object the size of a Prius.”

Hansen, the host of the Discovery+ docuseries “UFO Witness,” said he is still actively following this case, hunting for potential additional witnesses who could help corroborate Klein’s testimony or provide more physical evidence.

The veteran UFO investigator said he already has something to report on a separate incident involving multiple orbs witnessed by people at a local community center.

“Our team is going on the ground to Connecticut,” Hansen told NewsNation.
