Cong will stop Laadli Behna Yojana if voted to power in MP, says CM Chouhan

Chouhan also rebuked the opposition party for complaining to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for stating that he would “silently” transfer the next tranche of financial assistance due under the scheme to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries .

“Congress members made a big fuss shouting that Mama (as Chouhan is popularly known in Parliament) will silently deposit money from Ladli Behna scheme in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries and also complained about it to the ECI. Why should I do that discreetly? deposit the money openly (danke ki chot par dalunga),” he said.

Chouhan was addressing an election rally at Devigarh village of Thandla Assembly constituency in Jhabua district in support of BJP candidate Kalsingh Bhabar.

Chouhan told the gathering that the Congress did nothing for the welfare of the people when it ruled the state. He also warned that if the grand old party comes to power after the elections, it would hold back the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’.

“Women are currently getting Rs 1,250 per month in their bank accounts under the scheme, but they (Congress members) are not happy about it,” the senior BJP leader said.

He also appealed to voters to bless Bhabar and the BJP in next month’s assembly elections.

Chouhan said his government has made every effort to ensure that children receive quality education. To achieve this goal, she has opened schools and hostels all over the state.

The Chief Minister also promised to build ‘Shambumata Lok’ at the temple of Goddess Shambumata in Jhabua, and upgrade and transform a local hospital into a specialized medical facility with all modern healthcare facilities.

He further promised to bring Narmada river water to Jhabua and Alirajpur districts.

Madhya Pradesh will have a one-phase polling for the 230-member Assembly and votes will be counted on December 3.
