The founder of a “socialist clothing brand” has created a deck of cards featuring what he calls the “most wanted CEOs,” complete with their names and faces, and decorated with an illustration of a target.
James Harr, the founder of Comrade Workwear, has called on his followers to take down more corporate executives in the immediate aftermath of the December 4 murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
He then announced on his social media pages on Saturday that he plans to sell a pack of cards featuring the names and faces of some of the world’s most famous CEOs.
Harr said he got the idea from one of his more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, who was inspired by the “most wanted Iraqi” cards distributed to U.S. troops during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The purpose of those maps, he explained, was to help soldiers “find and do what they needed to do” for the targets depicted.
Harr went on to list a number of well-known businessmen – who DailyMail.com declined to identify – who may be included in the deck, while asking his followers to help him come up with more.
“I’m actively creating this playing card set – 52 CEOs,” he said in the video posted to social media.
“I have a list, but if anyone wants to throw someone exceptional into the ring, let me know,” Harr continued, adding that the deck would be available for pre-order in the “next few days.”
James Harr, the founder of Comrade Workwear, announced Saturday that he plans to sell a pack of cards featuring the names and faces of some of the world’s most famous CEOs.
He called the deck the “Most Wanted CEOs” deck, which he said should be available for pre-order on Sunday evening
He then asked on his Instagram Stories what to call the card game – with ‘Most Wanted CEOs’ receiving the most votes at 40 percent.
Other contenders included “Target Practice,” which received 31 percent of the vote, and “Eat the Rich,” which received 29 percent.
Harr then suggested the ‘Target Acquired’ deck, which apparently 64 percent of his followers liked.
But in a follow-up video, Harr apparently went with his first pick of “Most Wanted CEOs,” as he showed off a preliminary design for the deck, with a red gun silhouette on the back.
Each card would then include a black and white photo of a CEO with their name, the company they lead and a QR code under the heading “Why They’re Bad,” which would direct Harr to a page detailing their apparent sins .
The CEOs would be divided into different types for different industries, with Clubs representing the heads of pharmaceutical and chemical companies, and Hearts representing “things you need to survive” such as retail and real estate.
Diamonds would feature CEOs from “technology, finance and media,” and Spades would feature executives in the “oil and war industries.”
Harr has since finalized the design and the list of CEOs it will include and could put them up for pre-order on Sunday evening, he told DailyMail.com.
The announcement comes in the wake of the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson (pictured)
Thompson was shot in downtown Manhattan on December 4
He said he is now starting to contact manufacturers and hopes to have them available within the next six to eight weeks.
A price for the deck has yet to be determined, based on production costs, Harr said.
“All labor has value, and I ensure my supply chains are ethical and fair,” he explained, noting that “Comrade is a one-man army.
‘By definition I can’t make a profit because I don’t have employees to exploit. I am a worker of thousands [in] student debt and I would love it if I could create something that people love, that promotes the cause, but that can also get me out of financial uncertainty.”
Harr also noted that he “has not condoned acts of physical violence nor has he ever asked anyone to commit these acts.”
However, many of his followers seem interested in purchasing a deck of cards, with one even complaining that her “only complaint is that these won’t be ready in time for Christmas.”
Others also offered to help, with one of his followers asking if he needed “someone to research their home addresses,” while another suggested he create another card game “for good guys like Luigi [Mangione] at.’
But the cards are just Harr’s latest response to Thompson’s death.
Last Monday, Harr shared an image on his Instagram with the caption: ‘The CEO Must Die’
In one video posted on TikTok On the day of the shooting, Harr shared a photo of the CEO of Blue Cross Blue Anthem, saying “it’s wild” that the company announced it would no longer pay for anesthesia for the entire duration of a surgery.
“I would just like to give people a starting point … to do some research,” he said hours after Thompson’s death.
“Just for research, you know, send her a letter, uh, ask her how her day is, uh, you know, for whatever.”
In an Instagram post last Monday, Harr also posted an explicit text: “The CEO must die,” saying it is “time to take back our wealth, our communities and our power.”
‘The CEO is more than an individual, he is a figurehead of the capitalist order. It is a substitute for shareholders and… the means by which capitalists can achieve their agenda on the workforce.
“When we say the CEO must die, we mean that the structure of capitalism must be broken. Destroy their world to create a world for the worker. Made by us and for us. To serve us and our loved ones. To focus our work on a world that we decide.’
He reiterated that message to DailyMail.com.
“The reality is that I appreciate these conversations happening. I know this is controversial, but recent events have made it clear to many that there is a small group of people who benefit from the suffering of the poor and working class,” Harr said.
“They know that if they decide to undermine safety protocols, workers will die, they know that refusing coverage will kill people… they know this and they still decide that profits are more important than our well-being, more important than our lives.
‘I’m not suggesting physical violence to anyone, but I do think we need to be informed about who makes those decisions, and I would like to play a role in helping people understand that there is no left or right; There are people at the top and the rest of us at the bottom,” he continued.
“I want people to know that the rich have created a world for them, where they win. I want people to know that we can build a different world, where people win.
“I want to make it clear that violence is not just someone shooting someone on the street. Violence consists of all the decisions the rich make that sacrifice us on the altar of profit.”
Luigi Mangione, 26, is charged with second-degree murder in Thompson’s death
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Mangione is charged with murder in New York for the close-range death of Thompson.
He is fighting extradition to the Big Apple and has hired Karen Friedman Agnifilo, a former assistant district attorney who helped prosecute the Harvey Weinstein case.
She is considered a veteran of the New York State legal system, with a source telling CNN Friedman Agnifilo that she knows “every hallway, every judge, every clerk in the courthouse.”
“She has as much experience as anyone, especially in state court.”
But New York officials hope to get Mangione back with a so-called gubernatorial order.
It is an order signed by the governor of a state where a fugitive is fleeing after a crime. The governor of that state acts at the official request of the governor of the state where the crime occurred.
In this case, New York Governor Kathy Hochul is expected to apply for a governor’s order from Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, but the process could take more than a month.
