Commuter chaos strikes Sydney trains ahead of peak hour after person jumps onto the tracks

Commuters have been warned to allow extra travel time after a person was spotted walking along the track just before rush hour.

All trains were stopped outside Sydney’s Redfern train station after emergency services were notified of the man on the tracks at around 3pm.

NSW Police confirmed they had received reports of a possible self-harm incident and attended the scene to transport the man to hospital without injury.

Although it has been taken off the track, a number of train lines are still expected to experience delays during rush hour.

There’s more to come.
