Jayden Daniels could be in line for a shocking start for the Washington Commanders on Sunday despite dealing with a rib problem all week.
According to ESPN, “all signs” point to Daniels struggling through the pain threshold, though the organization will check on him on Sunday before moving forward and playing him.
The publication quoted a team official as saying of the starting quarterback, “He’s a tough guy. He would want to play if he was missing his right leg.”
Should Daniels play, it will set up a clash against fellow rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
Williams went first overall in this year’s NFL Draft, while the Commanders took Daniels second, and it’s Washington that enters Sunday’s game with the superior record.
