Comedian Mark Normand escorted off stage, audience evacuated at Comedy Club last night in NYC after set is interrupted by security chase
Comedian Mark Normand was escorted off stage after an unknown man interrupted his set and was allegedly tasered by security in a chaotic scene.
Normand was performing a show with Good Eggs Comedy at the New York Comedy Club in the East Village on Wednesday night when the incident occurred.
Members of the public filmed the strange interaction and posted it on social media.
The set was interrupted when a man wearing a yellow hat and red jacket, dark shirt and pants walked onto the stage.
“Oh hey, what’s up, what have we got here with a migrant,” Normand said. “Oh my gosh, are you okay? I want to make sure everyone here is okay. What is happening?’

Security took the unknown man off the stage and Normand said: ‘Oh god, someone got a bag, oh boy’
Normand was then escorted off stage and the show ended abruptly
Two people who appeared to be security approached the man and grabbed the man from the stage. A woman walked across the stage behind the man and followed them outside.
“I actually froze there, I went to Mitch McConnell,” Normand said as the man was escorted out.
“Anything can happen at a comedy show, that was some kind of weird swinger sex party,” he added. “Oh god, someone got tased, oh boy.”
The audience recording the interaction could be heard saying ‘what the f**k.’
Then a woman who appears to work for the comedy club went on stage and said, “You guys, we’re fine, we just had a little hiatus.”
She seemed confused and told the audience to first remain seated and then get up and leave.
A producer grabbed the microphone and told them to leave and that Mark would not be coming back on stage.
Another person is then heard asking for photos and videos of what happened.
