Comedian Jared Fried makes a play to be the next Bachelor despite being ‘too fat’ and spending his career critiquing the show: ‘There’s room for a normal Bachelor’

Comedian Jared Fried, known for his wildly popular YouTube Recaps of The Bachelordoubts he will ever be chosen to appear on the show himself.

The comedian said he didn’t think he had the right look for ABC’s dating show during his recent appearance on the RentFree game show by Bilt Rewards of CEO of Bilt, Ankur Jain.

When Jain asked him if he would participate in the famous reality series, Fried replied, “I would, but I’m too fat to be on The Bachelor. But I do think there’s room for a ‘normal’ Bachelor.”

He continued, “I actually want to be the Bachelor because I want to involve my mom, but I also want to see [the contestants} deal with my mom.’

Fried went on to outline his amusing plan for the first group date, where the women would serve his mom coffee while working at Starbucks. The twist: his mom’s distinctive and quirky coffee order.

‘Now you might think this is an easy thing, but you’ve never seen my mom order coffee,’ Fried joked to Jain.

‘She’ll walk in and be like “I’ll have a tall foamy thing, espresso nut two scoop,”… and she’ll look at them in the face like that’s a normal order.

‘And then we’ll see how patient these women are with this woman.’

Despite his slim chances of becoming the next Bachelor, Fried has garnered a loyal following by humorously dissecting each episode of the show.

His Rose Rehash series is quite the smash, with thousands of views on YouTube, as he waxes on about all things Bachelor, Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

Meanwhile, Jain has grown Bilt Rewards to a valuation of $1.5 billion since its launch in June 2021, according to his website.

The venture is ‘the first loyalty program that allows you to earn points on rent.’

Before founding Bilt, Jain was the CEO and founder of Kairos, a venture studio dedicated to nurturing young entrepreneurs.
