Come REIGN or shine! Princess Beatrice leads the royal arrivals at Wimbledon with Lady Sarah Chatto

Princess Beatrice led the royal arrivals as she attended Wimbledon today with Lady Sarah Chatto and Lady Helen Taylor.

The Duke of York’s eldest daughter, 34, looked stunning in a plush pink dress as she arrived at the Royal Box with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi this afternoon.

She swept her auburn locks into soft waves for the occasion and opted for a subtle make-up look.

She was accompanied by a number of members of the royal family, including her distant cousin, Lady Sarah Chatto, who is the daughter of Princess Margaret and rarely makes royal appearances.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent also attended the event today.

The Duke and Duchess of York’s eldest daughter and lover Edo – who share daughter Sienna and stepson Wolfie – looked as loved-up as ever as they diverted their attention from court to strike up a light-hearted conversation.

Princess Beatrice has been making regular stylish appearances this summer, as she recently stunned in a quirky £1,830 midi dress as she headed to dinner in London with her husband Edoardo and A-list friends a few nights ago.

Edoardo also looked as smart as ever when he opted for a navy blue suit with an elegant dark green tie paired with a crisp white shirt.

While Lady Sarah was seen on this occasion, she is known for keeping a low profile and only attends a handful of important events.

Sarah Chatto was born in 1964 – the last royal baby to be born in a palace rather than a hospital – within weeks of cousins Prince Edward, Lady Helen Windsor and James Ogilvy.

Both her parents passed on their artistic eye to their children as Sarah, now a painter, and her brother David were taken through galleries in their youth.

Sarah then completed a basic course at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, followed by a course in printed textiles at Middlesex Polytechnic, which paved the way for her education at the Royal Academy Schools.

She worked as a painter under the professional name Sarah Armstrong-Jones and has since exhibited in galleries including The Redfern Gallery in London.

Her wedding to Daniel Chatto in July 1994 was such a short, simple affair that drivers were taken by surprise: The Queen, Prince Philip and Princess Diana waited after the service at St Stephen’s Walbrook town church for their cars to return.

While the Chattos are not the center of working royals, they have attended major royal events over the years, including the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II last September, Royal Ascot, Trooping the Color and the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The late Queen was described as a ‘surrogate mother’ to Sarah and her brother, and had a special relationship with Lady Sarah, who was thought to remind Her Majesty of her late sister.

A royal insider previously revealed: ‘The Queen adores Sarah and seeks out her company as often as possible. She is her absolute favorite younger Royal.

They feel very comfortable in each other’s company. A lot of giggling can be heard when they are together. They share a sense of loyalty, pleasure, duty and the ridiculous.’

An acquaintance said, “Sarah is very humble; shy and almost embarrassed without any grandeur. Take royal events – she’ll be on the balcony, but she never pushes herself to the center or forward like some’.
