Work is already underway on a Barbie sequel after the hit movie raked in a whopping $1 billion.
The huge blockbuster, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has been so successful that insiders say talks are already underway to get the second one into production.
A source told The sun“The crew who worked on the Barbie movie have been contacted to talk about the sequel.
It’s still very early days, but it’s become clear that bosses want the same crew for the sequel as they did for the first.
“Emails have been sent, but details are yet to be finalized.”

The adventure fantasy starring Margot Robbie as the title character and Ryan Gosling as her go-to guy Ken.
Based on the beloved Mattel character, the film was directed and co-written by Greta Gerwig with her husband Noah Baumbach, while Margot produced it.
The Australian star brought the film to life after going to toy maker Mattel for the rights in 2018.
To make the film happen, the actress, 33, had to pitch the film to meetings with studio executives and assure them of its potential commercial success, even going so far as to tell studios that the film could make a billion dollars – a goal that has clearly been achieved.
In an interview with Collider she said, “I think I told them it would make a billion dollars, which I may have oversold, but we had to make a movie, okay?”
She also insisted that for the film to succeed, she needed 39-year-old director Greta Gerwig on board.
Greta, who is the first female director to take over $1 billion, also saw the potential in the film and spoke about how she would like to see more.
She said People magazine that she hoped her movie “is the launch of a world and a bunch of different Barbie movies” before adding:

Margot was also responsible for the casting, choosing the actors based on their ‘Barbie energy’.
The star-studded line-up includes Umbrella Academy Ritu Arya, BBC Call The Midwife’s Emerald Fennell, Bridgeton’s Nicola Coughlan, Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa and singer Dua Lipa.
