Comancheros bikie Jason Kemp was mystery shooter at home of Hells Angel’s enforcer Dayne Brajkovich

A motorcyclist found floating face down in a luxury resort pool was the mysterious gunman who shot up the home of rival mobster Dayne Brajkovich two years earlier.

Jason Kemp drowned on February 11 at The Pearle of Cable Beach in Broome, Western Australia, after a long life of crime.

Whoever fired the five or six shots at Brajkovich’s Holden Commodore in March 2021, while his wife and seven-year-old son were inside, has never been identified.

However, a source with knowledge of the investigation told Daily Mail Australia that Kemp was the instigator of the brutal attack on the $1.5 million fort.

The bullets were pumped into the back of the car as the mother and son backed down the driveway outside the home in Ascot, south-east Perth. No one was injured.

The shooting was in retaliation for Hell’s Angels sergeant-at-arms Brajkovich, 43, who beat up rebel boss Nick Martin in a pub in November 2020.

The source said the shocking brawl in front of drinkers at The Sandbar on Scarborough Beach was part of a dispute over the tattoo parlor’s territory.

Two weeks later, Martin was shot dead about 300 yards away by a highly paid hit man as he watched from the stands of a drag racing event south of Perth.

Kemp was a member of the Rebels at the time of the Brajkovich shooting, but transferred to the rival Comancheros in mid-2021 after being brutally beaten by a fellow Rebel member while in prison for unrelated crimes.

The source said Brajkovich and Kemp were “good friends” until Kemp joined the Rebels, who compete with Brajkovich’s Hell’s Angels.

Kemp’s death was ruled non-suspicious and police ruled out foul play, and will be investigated by the coroner.

Brajkovich was kicked out of Hell’s Angels early last year after a brawl with other senior members sparked by his anger that members were partying with those from rival clubs.

The heavily tattooed ex-cyclist has since focused on his growing real estate portfolio, with two investment properties in addition to his own.

His house is monitored by a heavy CCTV presence and has a large dog guarding it along with shutters that are always closed.

Jacob Peter Gorton was charged with stealing a black Porsche and white Mercedes used in the shooting, which were found burnt out nearby.

He fled WA to Queensland after the shooting, cut and dyed his hair and shaved his beard, to change his appearance, but was arrested and extradited.

Brajkovich is known for his tattoos that cover his entire body, some of which violated WA’s controversial laws prohibiting the display of bicycle symbols in public.

He had “Hell’s Angels” embossed on his forehead and “1%er” on his neck—a common biker identification number that represents the percentage of bike owners who don’t obey the law.

WA Police Commissioner Colonel Blanch suggested at the time that motorcyclists should cover their tattoos or leave the state.

“I would certainly start with things like bandages or make-up or having it removed or alternatively people can choose not to live in Western Australia if this law is passed,” he said as the law was debated.

After being kicked out of the Hell’s Angels, he threw away all the club clothes he had when none of his former brothers showed up to pick them up.

His wife Jacinta Hill told a court in January that she applied makeup over his tattoos every day before he left for work.

He later tattooed ink on the forehead with black bars and filled in the rhombus that had the 1% er mark around it.

However, he added a new one on his head that says “f**k the police” and a swastika on his chin – which unlike bicycle symbols is not illegal in WA.

The maximum penalties for wearing prohibited badges are 12 months in prison, a $12,000 fine for individuals, or up to $60,000 for corporations.

Brajkovich regularly shows up to court in the most casual attire possible to turn his nose up at the authorities, always sporting a chunky $200,000 gold chain around his neck.

Most recently last Monday, he wore a t-shirt with three gold bars that read “you keep your silver,” along with a hat that covered his Hell’s Angels tattoo.

This related to him walking into the shop of the Perth Mint on June 13 last year and buying 300 grams of gold, worth about $27,000.

He also wore gold rings with large letters on them.

Kemp was staying with his girlfriend at the five-star resort near the popular tourist beach when he was found dead.

He had an amazing criminal history, with over 700 entries under his name in court records.

His heavily tattooed body was dotted with slogans paying homage to his connection to the underworld.

“1 crime pays” was scrawled on his forearm and “respect few, fear none” was written across his face in large black letters.

Kemp’s extensive criminal record contains pages of crimes including driving, drugs, assault, stealing, domestic violence and gun possession.

Last year alone, he faced 20 court appearances on more than a dozen charges, including grabbing someone’s throat, possession of meth, marijuana, and prescription drugs.

Driving violations included running a red light, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, using a false license plate, and driving with drugs in his system.

He was jailed in 2017 for holding his ex-girlfriend and her mother at gunpoint during a four-hour siege with police outside.

“It’s actually pretty amazing that he’s been allowed into the community for so long,” prosecutor Jason Chu said before his most recent jail sentence.

WA Police declined to comment on whether Kemp was a suspect in the shooting.
