According to reports, all domestic battery charges against Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree have been dismissed due to “insufficient evidence.”
Ogletree, 25, faced two felony charges after his arrest in late December: “domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily harm” and “domestic battery committed in the physical presence of a child under 16 years of age.”
The Colts star, who was also placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list after his arrest, was accused of “bodyslamming” the alleged victim to the ground during a dispute over his broken phone.
Yet according to Fox 59On Tuesday, the charges against Ogletree were dismissed “with prejudice” – meaning they can no longer be brought to trial.
In a motion to dismiss filed by the state of Indiana, Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office officials say subsequent interviews revealed “information and evidence that was not provided to law enforcement authorities on the evening of the alleged incident.”

“The evidence is insufficient to prosecute this case,” the motion adds.
Ogletree’s representatives released a statement after charges against their client were dropped.
“Andrew has always maintained his innocence and he has been fully exonerated,” the statement read. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“Andrew would like to thank the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office and the Avon Police Department for their professionalism and their never-ending pursuit of the truth.
“Additionally, Andrew is deeply appreciative of his family, friends and fans who supported him throughout this procedure.
“Finally, Andrew is forever grateful to his attorneys, who believed in his innocence and fought tirelessly for today’s outcome.”
According to Pelissero, despite the charges being dropped, Ogletree’s arrest is still under review by the NFL, meaning he remains on the commissioner’s exempt list.
