Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew suffered a concussion against the Bengals on Sunday but wasn't even checked after the tackle.

With just over six minutes left in the second quarter, Minshew took a hit from Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson while rushing to the 22-yard line on a third-and-6. His head was hit by Wilson's shoulder.

Indianapolis' 27-year-old backup signal caller was grounded by Bengals guard Cordell Vilson before being abruptly knocked down by Wilson.

What's more is that after being pinned down by both Cincinnati players, Minshew wobbled for a split second as he regained his footing and continued playing.

“They didn't check Gardner Minshew for a concussion after this play,” one user tweeted on X. “Watch him after the tackle.”

The tackle on Minshew occurred minutes after it was widely announced that former Tennessee Titans/Oilers tight end Frank Wycheck had died at the age of 52. He was known for his lateral pass in the 'Music City Miracle'.

Minshew, who is normally a backup quarterback for the Colts, has stepped in as a starter and has played well after losing Anthony Richardson to a season-ending shoulder injury in October.

The Colts are also coming off an overtime victory, 31-28 last week over Tennessee.

“I think the biggest thing right now is just confidence,” Minshew said before Sunday's game.

'Everyone feels it, everyone plays together and trusts each other. I think you saw all the stages come to life at different times last week. I'm just starting to feel like we're starting to put our best ball together and that's how it should be this time of year.”

The Colts are 7-5 and have the same overall record as the Houston Texans, their AFC South rivals.

Both teams are competing for a wild card spot, with the Jacksonville Jaguars sitting first in their division with an 8-4 record.
