Deion Sanders continued to play on the feud between he and CSU coach Jay Norvell by handing out sunglasses to Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim during a Friday appearance on First Take.

The crowd in Boulder erupted as Sanders, who was wearing sunglasses, by the way, handed out his frames to the on-air crew. Many students – as expected on Saturday evening – also wore sunglasses in support of Sanders.

Rams coach Jay Norvell took a shot at Sanders while discussing TV interviews that had taken place with ESPN leading up to Saturday night’s Rocky Mountain Showdown.

Sanders has chosen not to respond to Norvell’s comments more than he has done before.

“I talked to ESPN today, and I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder,” the CSU coach said at his Coach show Wednesday.

Sanders gave his Buffaloes team a few of his Blenders frames in a video released Friday

‘I told them, “I’ve taken off my hat and my glasses.” And I said, “When I talk to adults, I take off my hat and my glasses.” My mother taught me that.’

In a video released on Sanders’ Instagram on Friday, he gave his team a pair of glasses from him Blenders and reiterated that the match between CU and CSU is “personal” but that CSU “doesn’t realize that all they did was help me with cases.”

“They don’t realize that not only are we going to screw them because it’s personal, but it’s going to be business-like, but it’s also going to be fun,” Sanders said.

On Thursday, Sanders was first made aware of Norvell’s comments and used them as “ammunition” for his players.

“I’m just minding my own business, watching film trying to prepare, trying to come out here and be the best coach I can be,” he said. “And I look up and I read some shit they said about us,” he told his players on video.

‘Why talk about us when we don’t talk about anyone? All we do is come out here, do our best and do our job on Saturday. But if they give us ammunition…

“It was just going to be a good game, but they messed it up a bit and made it personal,” he said, as his players finished his sentence and said the last word.

The annual Colorado-CSU matchup has extra hype surrounding it given the start of the Sanders era in Boulder.

Usually, it’s a game reserved for the most die-hard Colorado sports fans or school alumni, but instead draws national attention.

Coach Prime, who often wears hats and glasses during conferences, has made it “personal.”

The Rocky Mountain Showdown takes place at the home of the Buffaloes: Folsom Field

Now the 18th-ranked Buffs are the hottest team in college football and have the highest average ticket price, surpassing Ohio State this week.

Should the Buffs move to 3-0, there will be a mouthwatering test against Pac-12 rival and No. 13 Oregon on September 23.

Colorado is currently a 23.5-point favorite over Colorado State this weekend.
