The Colorado Rockies are under federal investigation after coach Hensley Muelens posted a video of himself in the cockpit during a recent chartered flight, according to a report.

While the Federal Aviation Administration While not specifically confirming Hensley, the organization confirmed to 9News’ Chris Vanderveen that it had launched an investigation into an “unauthorized person in the cockpit” during the April 10 flight.

The flight was chartered by United Airlines, which said it was “deeply disturbed by what we see in that video.”

In the now-deleted Instagram video, Muelens can be seen sitting in the cockpit next to a pilot, who waves at the camera.

“I’m going to land the plane tonight,” says Muelens. “So relax.”

“We had some fun in the cockpit on our flight from Denver to Toronto,” he captioned the clip.

“Thank you to the captain and first officer of our United charter for allowing me this wonderful experience.”

A United spokesperson also said the situation was a “clear violation of our safety and operations policies.”

The flight reportedly took place at cruising altitude and the autopilot was engaged when Muelens manned the cockpit.

United also said the pilots have been removed from service while they conduct their own investigation.

Muelens said in the video that the plane was at 35,000 feet.

The Rockies have started 4-15 this season and will face the Mariners next Friday night.
