Colorado mom discovers SNAKES slithering inside the walls of the house she worked all her life to buy

A single mother has told of her horrific encounter with a horde of snakes living in the foundation of her new home.

Amber Hall made the shocking discovery last month, days after moving into the four-bedroom, two-bathroom colossus in Colorado with her two kids.

The home is located on a quaint tree-lined street in Centennial, centrally located between some of Denver’s most affluent suburbs, in the south end of the city.

Hall, 42, says she’s worked her entire adult life to afford the dream home — and was over the moon when she and her kids moved in in April.

That changed, however, when the mother-of-two came across the shoal of scaly reptiles slithering into her walls and under her patio.

In addition, the real estate agent who sold her the house has since gone AWOL, forcing her to personally pay thousands of dollars for professional help – telling her that the infestation is now more serious than once thought.

“I was unpacking here and one of my dogs crouched down and started walking very slowly to this corner,” Hall told FOX31 of how she made the disturbing discovery almost immediately after she moved in.

“I was like, ‘What’s up, buddy?’ I thought maybe it was a spider, whatever,” she recalled.

“I came to him, and when I came to him, I saw the snake slipping up the wall.”

On closer inspection, she realized it wasn’t one snake, but several – they all lived along the back wall of the house’s garage that leads to the yard.

What’s more, the unwanted guests were all shockingly large – and curled up in a crevice that obscured their true numbers.

Wary of more legless visitors out of sight in the inner workings of the house, she said Hall put her hand on the wall above the various visible and felt heat, leading her to think there were even more snakes unseen.

Since finding the first snakes on April 23, Hall says she’s found at least nine more — and has paused to unpack her belongings or commit to moving in until the case is resolved.

Hall made a comment to Fox31 about the contamination. ‘I started looking and there were more and more snakes.

‘I don’t know if I can live here peacefully. I’m terrified.’

“I don’t know if I can live here peacefully,” the mother-of-two told Fox31 of the infestation, which arguers say is likely serious given the age and number of snakes. ‘I’m terrified’

Hall added that she wasn’t sure of the species of snake, but according to experts he’s had to look up since in the absence of the list agent, the animals are garter snakes, which are harmless.

However, she told Denver 7 that even professional wrestlers were amazed at the size of the snakes, saying they are unusually large for a garter snake — and have probably been living in the walls of the house for years.

“Shockingly large,” Hall recalled of the size of the snakes. “Everyone says they’re some sort of garter snake. But they also give the caveat that no one has ever seen their garter snake this big.

She added, I can’t unpack my things because I’m absolutely afraid there are snakes in the boxes or under the boxes.

“It’s like getting into bed, and if the sheet brushes against your foot or something, you immediately pull the covers off or jump out of bed to make sure there’s nothing in there.”

Hall hired a snake hunter, who helped her discover that the infestation wasn’t confined to the walls of the house, but under the floor—with the bugs burrowing into the dry wall and under the patio.

She told Denver 7 that the expert helped humanely remove the snakes, but at a cost — with the mother spending more than $1,000 on professional help, as well as multiple traps.

That said, the snake hunter told her that he believes some snakes have been living there for several years based on their size, and that there are probably “many more.”

As for the realtor who sold her the house, Hall told Fox31 that they are not cooperating.

In a statement, a spokesperson said the company denied having any knowledge of the infestation and would have told Hall had they been aware of their presence.

They went on to tell the station that this is the first time they hear of snakes on the property.

That leaves Hall without a legal leg to stand on, as she can only litigate if she can prove that the seller was actually aware of the house’s questionable condition.

“I just want someone to be responsible for whatever it takes to get them out,” Hall said.

Until it is discovered, Hall told both Fox31 and Denver 7 that her boxes will remain full.
