Colorado head coach Tad Boyle showed off his groovy dance moves after the Buffaloes were architects of an upset over the Florida Gators in the first round of this year’s NCAA Tournament.

The 61-year-old Boyle, who has been in charge of Colorado since 2010, was surrounded by his players as he took center stage in the team’s festivities following its 102-100 victory in Indianapolis on Friday night.

“That’s what I’m talking about,” Boyle shouted as he entered the Gainbridge Fieldhouse locker room, raising his arms in the air.

Boyle then flexed for the next ten seconds as the Buffaloes busted out dance moves around him in the shape of a circle, clapping and pulling a fist pump at the end of insider footage shared shortly after Colorado’s win over X.

The Buffaloes are making their second appearance in March Madness this year since 2012. They defeated Georgetown in 2021 and will now play No. 2 Marquette on Sunday for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.

Colorado has never appeared in the tournament’s second weekend since the 64-team format was introduced in 1985.

The Buffs (26-10) and Gators (24-12) produced the most impressive offensive display yet in this year’s March Madness on Friday, showing no signs of fatigue after both played in conference title games.

Colorado defeated Boise State in the First Four on Wednesday, then extended the school record for wins in a single season.

“I thought to myself at half-time, if we don’t defend better… we have to score 100 to win tonight,” Boyle said in his post-match commentary. “And we needed 102.” Actually we only needed 101, but we got 102.’

The Buffs’ astonishing offensive totals: 34 of 54 (63 percent) from the field, 6 of 10 on 3-pointers and 28 of 33 (84.8 percent) on free throws. The Gators made five more 3s (11 of 25) and shot 51.5 percent overall (35 of 68) to keep pace.
