England will face Colombia in the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Cup after Catalina Usme’s second-half strike saw her country beat Jamaica.
Colombia captain Usme was poised to score the only goal of the tie, having cleared Ana Maria Guzman’s high pass before taking a touch and arcing home.
Jamaica looked to respond to their first goal of the tournament, but Drew Spence could only send a header into the ground and agonizingly wide of the post.
