A major police operation is underway in Melbourne’s CBD, with a street closed and employees told to remain inside their offices.
The incident is reportedly taking place on Collins Street, near Bendigo Bank, with armed police stationed outside.
The Bomb Squad is engaged and focusing on a white vehicle.
Trams and traffic are diverted from the area.
