The avenue also contains artist Alice McAuliffe’s beautiful artwork, reminiscent of Renaissance styles of Italy.
Adrian Widjy, who runs the ‘Places in Sydney’ Instagram page, posted a video and highly recommended to visit the space.
‘You should check this out! This new place will take you to a Mediterranean vacation,” he said in the clip.
‘They have cafes and hangouts where you can enjoy the beautiful facade.
‘Parallel to this is Percival Lane with direct access to the beach.’
The video has since been viewed more than 41,000 times and hundreds have thanked Adrian for sharing the secret location.
‘How unique!’ one wrote, the other said, “Wow, I live so close and yet I didn’t know.”
“Would never have found this on my own,” a third added.
The stunning upgrade was commissioned by Woollahra Council and made possible with funding from the New South Wales Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces programme, which supports the improvement of local streets, pathways and public spaces across Sydney.
The avenue is located between Collins Avenue and New South Head Road.
