College town’s police say they don’t need help with cleanup after beer spill

OXFORD, Madam — A college town in Mississippi temporarily closed a street Wednesday after a delivery truck dropped off dozens of cases of beer.

The oil spill occurred in Oxford, home to the University of Mississippi.

Oxford Police photos posted on social media and asked drivers to temporarily avoid the area.

“Please use a different route,” the department at X reported. “And no, you are not allowed to come and help with ‘cleaning up’.”
