College student, 20, reveals simple lifestyle changes that helped her to lose 20LBS in just three months – after she sought out to shed ‘freshman 15’

A student has revealed the easy changes she made to lose 20 pounds quickly after putting on the freshman 15.

Jenna Sickler, 20, from Ohio, has more than 32,000 followers on TikTok, where she documents her life, including her beauty and fitness routines.

The college junior went viral after explaining how she lost weight and transformed her body in about two to three months.

Jenna, using the handle @jennaevelynnnestimated that she gained about 15-20 pounds during her freshman year while living on campus.

“That came from drinking every weekend, not being (calorie) deficient, not meeting my protein goals and not training the right way for my body,” she explained.

The content creator noted that she was able to lose weight “really quickly” by making a few lifestyle changes.

“Food was the most important thing,” she said. ‘I was still eating a lot, but it was low-calorie, high-protein (food).”

Jenna remembered grounding turkey taco bowls and making sauces from fat-free cottage cheese for extra protein.

Other staples included chickpea pasta, Greek yogurt and turkey bacon.

She added that doing low-impact workouts such as walking, weight lifting and Pilates also helped her lose weight.

Jenna did full-body Pilates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, strength training on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and cardio on Saturdays.

“This one is huge. Get your 10,000 steps a day,” she advised. “Some of those steps for me before my workouts would come from walking, doing the 12-3-30 workout, or the stair step.”

The viral 12-3-30 treadmill workout consists of walking on a level 12 incline at a speed of 5 km per hour for 30 minutes.

Finally, Jenna said she made time to prepare low-calorie, high-protein meals so she always had them on hand.

“All of these things combined helped me lose 15 to 20 pounds in two to three months,” she concluded.
