College football star slammed for ‘disgusting’ hit on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders

College football fans were outraged Saturday after Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was targeted for a brutal hit against Kansas.

Deion Sanders’ team headed to Arrowhead Stadium this weekend to take on Kansas in a pivotal Big 12 showdown.

In the game, Colorado’s two-time star Travis Hunter once again proved why he is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

But the Buffaloes fell to a 37-21 loss and their quarterback found himself on the receiving end of a nasty hit after throwing the ball across the field, with fans calling it “disgusting” and “beyond gross.”

Kansas defenseman Dean Miller flew toward Sanders’ knees and appeared to hit the quarterback with his helmet.

Sanders was launched into the air before hitting his head on the turf. The quarterback immediately grabbed the area around his right knee.

Fortunately, Sanders escaped serious injury, but fans were still outraged after Miller dodged any punishment for the hit.

There was no need for the defensive end to abuse the passer, despite many supporters on social media saying he should be kicked out of the game.

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III was among those who took Miller down. “At any level of football, this is a late and nasty hit for Shedeur Sanders. There is no place in the game for this,” Griffin said on X.

“This is absolutely disgusting,” said one fan. “This is beyond gross, actually he really tried to end his career,” another added.

“That’s disgusting, should have been kicked out of the match,” said a third, while a fourth took aim at the referees. “Insane that they don’t throw a flag for this,” the user said.
