Colin Fassnidge makes a shocking remark about his My Kitchen Rules co-host Manu Feildel

My Kitchen Rules star Colin Fassnidge has taken a saucy dig at his co-star Manu Feildel.

The 51-year-old Irish chef joked that Manu, 50, would be his “kitchen maid” if the pair ever appeared as contestants on a cooking show.

He also described the French chef as a piece of ‘butter’ during an interview with Perth now on monday.

When asked to describe himself and Manu as pantry staples, the witty Irish-born chef replied that he would be a “lemon.”

“Spicy, sometimes a little bitter, and brightens up the dish,” he explained.

He then joked that Manu “looked like butter” because he “looked like the dairy product” and “he loved it very much.”

Colin added that if they ever found themselves on a team in a cooking competition, there would be no doubt about who would be in charge.

‘[Manu would] “If he followed me, I’d be the chef and he’d be my bitch,” he joked.

Colin and Manu have been sharing details about their friendship since the Dublin-born chef joined MKR in 2015.

The interview comes after Colin recently shared details about a recent accident.

The smooth-talking kitchen maestro was not seriously injured last month when he fell into a sewer while filming a new TV series on location in Cambodia.

He was filming night scenes for an episode of his Food Diary series when he fell through an open manhole cover.

The outspoken Irishman shared his misfortune with fans on social media in a series of videos, which show him injuring his knee in the accident.

The I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here veteran shared details leading up to the accident in his Instagram post.

A video recorded by a crew member shows the star preparing for filming, with the caption reading: ‘This was five minutes before Colin Fassnidge fell into the sewer and became the grumpiest man on tour.’

A second video shows the star recovering and telling how he fell into the sewer.

‘The producer said ‘go left’, but there was no manhole cover on it [it] “So I found some shit,” Colin said.

Meanwhile, his producer jokingly replied, “Blame me again! I told you to go left.”

The video also shows a close-up of Colin’s left leg, which appears to have a cut and some bruising around the knee joint.

Colin also posted another story showing him sitting on a bus after the accident, with the caption: ‘When you fall down an open drain into shit and everyone thinks it’s funny.’

Colin recently joined the cast of Better Homes and Gardens for 2024.

He replaced outgoing chef and presenter ‘Fast Ed’ Halmagyi, who left the Channel Seven lifestyle programme in 2023 after 20 years.

Colin will also return to My Kitchen Rules on Channel Seven on September 9, along with Manu.

The interview comes after Colin recently shared details of a recent accident, where he escaped serious injury last month after falling into a sewer while filming a new TV show in Cambodia.
