Colin Farrell looked unrecognizable on Wednesday as he continued filming the Batman spin-off titled The Penguin in New York City.
The Irish actor, 47, donned a very realistic balding wig, a hairy chest and an unbuttoned light gray shirt with a dark gray vest to play the series’ deformed eponymous character.
Colin kept warm in a large, matching gray coat that reached past his knees and had a faux fur lining.
Wearing a chunky gold bracelet and flashy rings, he completed his look with black trousers and dress shoes, two months after he was last seen on set.
Colin looked menacing as he walked across the rubble, fully embodying the character of Penguin, real name Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot.

The upcoming series is a spin-off of the 2022 film The Batman, which stars Robert Pattison.
Colin’s Penguin originated in this film and is the former chief lieutenant of crime boss Carmine Falcon (John Taturro).
The Batman is an origin story, so Penguin isn’t yet the crime kingpin he’s portrayed as in the comics, nor is Batman a skilled crime fighter yet.
Matt Reeeves, the film’s director, compared the character of Penguin to Fredo Corleone (John Cazale) from The Godfather (1972), because of “the smallness in which he lives, in a family that is full of very strong, very smart, very capable, very violent men’.
In addition to Colin, How I Met Your Mother’s series stars Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Penguin boss Carmine.
The Penguin was first announced in 2021 and is set one week after the events of The Batman. It is expected to be broadcast at the end of 2024.
Colin has another series airing in 2024, the sci-fi series Sugar, which is said to be “a genre-bending contemporary take on the private detective story set in Los Angeles.”
The actor’s last feature film roles came in 2022 when, alongside The Batman, he appeared in the critically acclaimed, Golden Globe-winning black comedy-tragedy The Banshees of Inisherin.
