Colin Farrell is back as The Penguin! The Oscar-nominated actor looks unrecognizable with a prosthetic face when he is FIRST seen on the set of The Batman spin-off
Colin Farrell looked unrecognizable with prosthetics on his face when he was first seen reprising his role as The Penguin for the Batman spin-off.
The 46-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was seen fully made up and dressed to play the supervillain on the New York set of the highly anticipated HBO Max limited series on Monday morning.
Colin seemed more than ready to play the bad guy, aka Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, just weeks after revealing that filming was supposed to begin.
His face looked just as it did in the 2022 action movie starring Robert Pattinson, as the prosthetics made him appear significantly heavier with facial scarring and hair loss.
He was also dressed perfectly to encapsulate the penguin, as he sported a purple blazer over a crisp white dress shirt.

Every detail: The 46-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was seen fully made up and dressed to play the supervillain on the New York set of the highly anticipated HBO Max limited series on Monday morning.
Colin’s black pants were held up with matching suspenders as he completed the look with black dress shoes.
The limited series will be produced by Matt Reeves, who directed the aforementioned The Batman.
Not much is known about the plot of the limited series, but it is expected to pick up where the movie left off, which is with Gotham in a chaotic state after the death of the crime boss. Carmine Falcone.
In January, Farrell confessed Variety that he had no idea that he would be asked to star in a standalone series about The Penguin while filming The Batman.
“The only thing I had an idea was that I wasn’t exploring the character as much as I wanted to,” Farrell, 46, told reporter Marc Malkinat at the gala event.
‘There was all this extraordinary work done by [makeup and prosthetics artists] Mike Marino and Mike Fontaine and their team, and I thought it was the tip of the iceberg, pardon the pun, that we were doing all six or seven scenes that we did in the movie. He was grateful for them, but he wanted more.
The Castleknock, County Dublin, Ireland native added: “Honestly, any thoughts I had about an extended series had to do with the work of Mike Marino. I just know there was a lot going on with it. It gets old, it gets old. It’s just a genius, Mike, so it was his work that really inspired me.’
Was Variety which first reported that Farrell had signed on to star in The Penguin in December 2021, which was then followed up last March by HBO Max officially ordering the show to series.
